Goals (off-ice only): Prior to moving to Texas to train with the Cains, I was a full-time student at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. I am currently on a leave of absence from Wesleyan in order to pursue my skating goals. However, once I retire from competition, I am planning on returning to Wesleyan to finish my undergraduate degree. I am majoring in German studies and international relations. Eventually, I would love to be either a sports journalist or work for a sports oriented non-governmental organization such as the International Olympic Committee or even the International Skating Union.

When did you begin skating? I began skating shortly before my 5th birthday.

How did you begin skating?
When I was little, I was very fortunate in that my parents exposed me to many different sports and arts. My parents were both highly involved in the equestrian sport of Eventing. My father was the Junior Younger Rider Champion of Australia and my mother worked with Tad Coffin who won the gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games, so naturally I was involved with horses at a very young age. However, my parents also brought me to concerts, the ballet and to see Stars on Ice. I was amazed by the skaters and promptly told my parents that skating was what I wanted to do. Eventually they signed me up for lessons at a local Learn to Skate program and I have been on the ice since.
